Crock Pot Pork Roast And Roasted Carrots/Potatoes

Don’t you enjoy walking into your house and being greeted by the warm comforting smells of good food. I love using my crock pot for cooking a hearty meal on a cold winter day! It’s convenient and it’s easy to use. I prepare everything the night before and when I get up in the morning, I plug it in and voila supper is ready when we get home from work and school.

I received one of those “mom, you have GOT to make this again” moments last night. It warms my heart to hear that from both children. Especially, when you have picky eaters that don’t always have the same taste in food!

If you would like to warm the tummies of your loved ones, try this recipe.

Crock Pot Pork Roast

1 3 lb. Pork Roast, I use a Pork Loin Sirloin Roast

1 Can of French Onion Soup

1 tsp. of Minced Garlic

1/2 c. Vegetable Broth

1/4 c. Worcestershire Sauce

Pinch of Pepper

Add and mix all the ingredients into the crock pot, with the exception of the pork roast. Score the pork roast and set it into the mixed sauce. Ladle the sauce over the pork roast a couple of times and put the crock pot on low for 8-10 hours, or until the meat is tender.

Roasted Carrots and Potatoes

4 Large Carrots

5-6 Medium Potatoes

3 Celery Stalks

This is done when the roast is finished cooking. Pre-heat your oven at 335 degrees. Ladle sauce from the pork roast into a 13×9 inch pan, set aside. Slice up the carrots, potatoes, and celery stalks. Place the slices into the 13×9 inch pan over the sauce and ladle more sauce from the crock pot over the top of the carrots, potatoes, and celery. Cook this for about an hour and a half. Once cooked, serve it with the pork roast and it makes a wonderful combination.
